Video Humor for Mac and Non-Mac Lovers Alike
"The Mac Kills My Inner Child"

This is pretty funny. Work safe except for one F-bomb dropped somewhere toward the end. Depends on how cool your work environment is.

1. Don't find it funny, meseff. IMO, humor >
works better when it's based in truth.

2. Oh now...
I owned an iMac for several years and experienced some of the pain about which he's talking. I actually love ALL operating systems (including Unix and *gasp* I was even fond of OS/2 for awhile). I don't get the OS wars myself, because I view a new OS as something to play with, but I thought this was pretty funny...

6. Oh there's truth!
I had an iMac and experienced the lockup problem and the warning that something was going to lock up - when they system was already locked up - problem!

I guess some people are too busy defending the OS to have a sense of humor about it. Should have counted on that, in retrospect.

7. Couldn't even finish it.
Didn't find it funny at all. Good parody has to be based in truth, and there simply was none anywhere to be found in that little skit. Hell, he has trouble shutting a Mac down...or it shuts down all be itself when you're using it? Don't tell my Mac that! It hasn't been shut down since October!

Sorry, I don't think you'll find anyone but Windows support people and people who haven't touched an Apple since the Lisa, will find any humor in this.

8. alas, DOS is teh suck
I learned computers on DOS, my Mom was big on PCs, worked on PCs, knew PCs..loved PCs.

So I got a good dose of DOS a s a child. And HATED IT. You had ot practially program the damn computer everytime you did something. Eventually whenever I needed to do anythign computer based, I just asked my Mom to do it fo rme.

Then I went to College and started using Macs and discovered that you didn't need to know Computer Science just to turn the damn thing on.

Been a MAC user ever since. My only real regret is that games Like City of Heroes isn't supported on MACs.

The clip was funny but I didn't agree with or experience most of what this guy said. and yeah, MACs have issues. But so does every brand of car, microwave, airplane and every other bit o ftechnology ever created.

You might as well rant against technology.

12. Oh yes, there's truth to this
In an Interactive Digital Media class I took, the professor's powerbook would always crash roughly an hour into class. This was like clockwork and we'd have our mid-class break while he restarted the damn thing.

I use all types of OSs: Windows, Linux, Mac, and they all have problems. The best thing about Windows and Linux is that the users admit to the problems. But Mac users are in denial about it. You ever mention a mac crashing and macheads get their panties in a twist and their faces turn purple as they swear that Macs never crash. It's the application they say, it's not the mac, you just have to restart that's all, and lose all your unsaved work. :P

Macs are beautful machines, but macheads are always fun to mess with. :silly:
