My son just reminded me what it's all about...
I sit here reading all the depressing, frustrating stuff, and my little four year old comes up and plants me a juicy kiss on the lips, saying he loves me. Fuck Bush. He doesn't know what love is, but I do, and I will never stop fighting for my son's future.

3. That's right!
Exactly. Love. It's always been the answer. What's ironic is that most of the so called Christians don't get it at all. If they were to ever actually meet Jesus, they'd just think he was a friggin' "liberal" and thumb their nose at him, or moon their big, flabby butts! Okay...I went too far then.

6. Enjoy it while it lasts
The days of little cheekies go by far too fast, and they don't come back.

8. Oh, don't remind me.
I know, one day he will be a teenager and refuse to acknowledge my existence. But I will still love him and fight for him like a warrior anyway!

23. That's why I drop my daughter off at school every day
instead of putting her on the bus.
One day she won't want the ride anymore. I'm enjoying it while I can. :)

15. Yes, I can relate.
When I'm sitting here upset, depressed and ready to just give up from the frustration, this little face...

Never fails to slap me back to reality.

16. An angel.
Pure angel.

I fight for my son and his future on this planet. I want him to know good, be happy and find love. Some days though, I fear that he will never experience my dreams for him.

Give your son extra hugs!

18. I know what you mean...
Especially when I think about climate change, overpopulation, peak oil, etc. It really sometimes makes me feel guilty for even bringing him into this world. I don't want him to have to suffer through what I think are going to be some extremely hard times ahead.

20. Exactly how I feel!
Lately, it seems as if every time I hear what this administration is doing (and so much, so quick, these days) I think of my son. Some Repub friends say "Why are you so worried? You'll be dead before this happens."

And I reply, "Because maybe my son won't be dead, maybe his children won't be dead - someone dear to me will experience the repercussions".

Regret my son's birth? Never. But there is that twinge of selfish guilt.

21. but does he do the hokie pokie?
seriously, you are blessed to know and understand that.

Looking at babs and George HW, it is easy to see why boy george loved to kill frogs and why he has absolutely no empathy. Without his iron curtain of Karen Hughes, karl Rove and Kondi Rice (I had to get a K in there) his many failings become obvious.

rumors abound that Rove is extremely distracted and cannot concentrate on his babysitting tasks.

25. my son was 4 years old when bush assumed office
he turns 10 later this year . I've spent half his life fighting these
bastards . He calls me a hero for it , I don't think I'm a hero .
but in his eyes only hero's try and save the world , and that's what
I tell him I'm trying to do .

Great post revree , My son and all children are why I'm in this fight.

We must leave them a better world than the one we got .

but I agree with you nonetheless.

I won't share it because I don't want to spoil a beautiful thread like this. You are very right.
