I find it intriguing that the news articles I've read have all framed this in terms of the UAE not wanting to give up the six major US ports. I thought they were buying a company not our ports. Why do I think this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a business transaction and everything to do with beach heads? Well hell, it's not like we actually own our country anymore anyway.

As nauseating as the Bush administration has been since almost the second they took office, this Dubai ports deal is giving me the willies more than anything else and I don't really know why. My brain is a legal, economic, accounting, business black hole. Why do I think I'd be even more nervous if I knew more?
