Bush is becoming the republican party's punching bag.
I just watched Bruce Bartlet (author of "Impostor" a book on how Bush really isn't a conservative) and could not help but think that he's the leading edge of the spin that we're about to hear TOO MUCH of from conservatives: That Bush Is Bad. This interview, right on the heals of the "failed" port deal, seems terribly suspicious and sounds too contrived that AFTER FIVE YEARS conservatives are "waking up".
As much as I'd like it to be true, I JUST DON'T BELIEVE THE CONS. If they really believe Bush is bad as what I'm starting to hear from repubs, then THEY WILL IMMEDIATELY MOVE TO IMPEACH THE ADMINISTRATION. And I don't mean just Bush, but Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, Rice and many other, right down the chain.
The CONS are just out to save their own political skins. WE MUST NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.
Next time a repub bashes Bush in front of you, just ask "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU WHEN DEMOCRATS WERE SAYING BUSH IS LYING US INTO A WAR? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN DEMOCRATS WERE SCREAMING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS THAT WOULD RESULT FROM BUSH FILLING THE GOVERNMENT WITH CRONIES? WHERE THE HELL WHERE YOU WHEN DEMOCRATS WARNED OF THE ECONOMIC DANGERS OF BUSH'S TAX CUTS IN A TIME OF WAR?!?! OH, THAT'S RIGHT, YOU WERE HEADED TO WAL-MART TO SPEND THAT TAX REFUND ON CRAP LIKE YELLOW MAGNETIC RIBBONS INSTEAD OF ASKING YOUR CONGRESSMEN TO MAKE SURE THE SOLDIERS HAD THE PROPER BODY ARMOR AND EQUIPMENT TO GET THE JOB DONE TO FIND THE REAL TERRORISTS INSTEAD OF GOING ON BUSH'S WILD GOOSE CHASE FOR WMDS"
