'Truth For Muslims' to Deliver Texans a Biblical Response to Islam
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 01:49 AM by Bluebear
Yes, this is the crucial first step necessary towards healing the rift: by trying to convert them. And what is "the challenge of Islam"?

CENTERVILLE, Va., Mar. 9 /Christian Wire Service/ -- John Marion, project director of Truth For Muslims, an evangelical Christian group, announced plans to reach more people in Texas with their message.

"Christians in Texas have told us they like our message," said Marion from his Virginia office near Washington, DC.

Marion continued, "We're meeting the challenge of Islam through evangelism, teaching, and public speaking. A lot of people in Texas have told us they believe in our message. We will mail our letters to Christians throughout the state."

Literature published by Truth For Muslims, which has been mailed to 50,000 households, proclaims that the purpose of the project is to bring "a comprehensive, biblical response to Islam in America."

"During the past 1400 years there has been no greater challenge to the Christian gospel than Islam," stated Marion.

Marion served as a missionary in Afghanistan in the 1990's where he learned to speak the Dari language. He established the Center of Peace and Hope in Christ for Afghanistan in 1999. After September 11, Marion turned his attention to helping Christians meet the challenge of Islam in America.

In 2004, Marion established Truth For Muslims, a project of Spear Ministries which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to proclaiming the gospel to "Hindu, Muslim, Pagan and other people groups."

"There are a lot of evangelicals in Texas who can be mobilized to bring the gospel to Muslims in America and who can teach others about the gospel," Marion said.

He continued, "The gospel is so different from the teachings of Mohammed, but not everyone understands how big the difference is between the two. I'm looking for more Christians in Texas to help me get the message out to people across the country."

Marion explained that those working with him are committed to praying for Muslims and evangelizing them with the message of Christ. He says that over 2,500 people have signed up to receive regular information from Truth For Muslims through the mail.

Marion's "18 Truths About Reaching Muslims in America With the Gospel" are published in the current Truth For Muslims newsletter.

These one sentence "truths" include statements such as, "The clear commands of Christ compel us to bring the gospel to Muslims, whatever the cost," and "We are bringing the message of Christ to those who are spiritually dead."

John Marion is available for interviews and radio talk shows.

1. Wanna know something funny?
There are other Christian's out there who don't believe we Christian's and Muslim's follow the same God. :eyes: We do but a lot of them don't want to believe it for whatever purpose. We have a lot more in common than conservative Christian's think.

The fundies on all sides with their arrogant ideas and ignorant desire to convert the soulles heathens is the bane of all humanity.

Had some really inane reasoning. I'm sending the guy back a Washington Post article about a former born-again Bible scholar whose study of the oldest manuscripts of the Bible made him a disbeliever.

Here's a link to the article:
