FLASH: AP Poll, Bush Approval Rating Hits NEW Low, 37% and falling
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 04:20 AM by Bluebear
"We've gotten so carried away I wouldn't be surprised to see the Democrats take it because of discontent," he said. "People vote for change and hope for the best." - a Republican voter

WASHINGTON - More and more people, particularly Republicans, disapprove of President Bush's performance, question his character and no longer consider him a strong leader against terrorism, according to an AP-Ipsos poll documenting one of the bleakest points of his presidency.

Nearly four out of five Americans, including 70 percent of Republicans, believe civil war will break out in Iraq — the bloody hot spot upon which Bush has staked his presidency. Nearly 70 percent of people say the U.S. is on the wrong track, a 6-point jump since February.

"I'm not happy with how things are going," said Margaret Campanelli, a retiree in Norwich, Conn., who said she tends to vote GOP. "I'm particularly not happy with Iraq, not happy with how things worked with Hurricane Katrina."

Republican Party leaders said the survey explains why GOP lawmakers are rushing to distance themselves from Bush on a range of issues — port security, immigration, spending, warrantless eavesdropping and trade, for example.....

By a 47-36 margin, people favor Democrats over Republicans when they are asked who should control Congress.

4. That 33% worships him & you can't change them.
I think we can safely say that besides all but the most mesmerized, this President has reached rock bottom.

7. Don't everyone get so carried away...

Any fool can sit by & get warm around an old house on fire -- but it takes vision, experience, and hard work to build a new home big enough to house all involved.

Please, let's work positively on this kind of model.

10. With the largest terrorist attack against this country happening on
Bush's watch, you think people would ran him out of town years ago!

12. Let's not dance, yet. This gives the GOP opportunity
to run away for six months, promise reforms, promise oversight, while still keeping Republicans in power..."Don't let the Liberals fool you! They have no ideas! They want to raise your taxes! They're weak on defense!"

Then, come January, it's back to same old same old.

We can't let up. We have to keep reminding people that this has been a RUBBER STAMP REPUBLICAN CONGRESS and hand voters these Con artists voting history.
