The last time someone called me for a donation for my local NPR affiliate I went off on a long rant about National Propaganda Radio and how they had abandoned our nation by not reporting on the theft of the 2000 and 2004 elections, how they did not adequately or fairly cover international issues....

I told them I would donate my money to support truthout.org and BradBlog and publications like Harpers and Mother Jones.

I've used the stick on them.

Now I'll use a carrot.

it's the slide that is upsetting. i used to love npr, but they have not completely resisted the pressure. since katrina, tho, i notice that they are better.
