Is George W Bush now irrelevant ?
Should the Democrats put him on the back burner for a while. No doubt, he will do something stupid again, soon. But for the time being, shouldn't the Democrats focus on the Republicans that are in control of Congress and get a new Congress in November?

1. No he should continue to be the issue--he is the weakest link
along with Cheney that the GOP has.

We can't afford to take our eyes off blivet. He might start to feel
neglected and Lord knows what the miserable joke of a human being (for lack of a better term) will do.

4. he was always irrelevant
he is a hood ornament on the Hummer of neo-theofascism

he's a label at best. he has never actually been "in charge" of anything

we should focus on the evil done in his name and his congressional accomplices

8. George W. bu$h is relevant in the fact that he controlled congress
His failures and Congress complacency in addressing those failures should be mentioned constantly through November, reminding the people who is responsible for this mess as they go to the polls.

9. Middle class tax cuts. funding of SS and medicare;
and a re framing of gun issues would make the Dem's win big. Need to keep showing what a buffoon * is, showing some leadership of our own. Seems simple , but I don't know if the Dems can pull it off?

11. My guess is yes.
We need to STOP the plan to "contain" the fallout from the history-making corruption inside congress to a single "fewer-free-meals" type of reform bill.

Vanity Fair's Abramoff spread sounds like a good start (heard interview of author with Sam Seder last night).

Explain. Expose. Embarrass.

12. Actually Bush should be the central issue thru the '06 campaign
becuz it is a referedum on his administration after that we should broaden it.

13. No ....this is what the Rovians want the Dems to do...move on to
soemething else...and this will be forgotten...

Nopity...I have never been one to believe that you have to
Kick em when their down and kick the shit out of them
Pummel them into oblivion until they will know not to come back for a fight....

We have to stay on the offensive and pummel away with the tools that they have given us....

No sympathy, no room to breath, no Guilt!! They have been allowed to destroy this country in a matter of 6 years......and if we do not rid ourselves of this cancerous blight on America...America may not return to prosperity and freedom for all!!

14. Time for the Dems to get some kind of message other than "not as bad".
Bush and his minions have managed to cover themselves in shit but the Democrats aren't held in much more esteem by the voters. If they continue to play the "not as bad" and "politics as usual", the usual results will happen. They'll pick up a few seats when they could've made a revolution.

Alas, I find it extremely unlikely that they'll dare to actually offer an alternative.
