Is Your Mail being opened by U.S. Gestapo?
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 04:29 PM by Proud2BaLiberalMom
I just received a packed,
a pillow I had ordered.
The box has clearly been CUT
open on purpose, as you can see
by the pic below where the cut
begins.
Anyway, I was wondering if others
are finding that their packages/mail
are being opened, and how often, as I've
heard this is happening to a lot of 'Merikans.
Seem to me, we are not a 'free' country any longer!

1. An officemate just mentioned yesterday that a package he
got in the mail was clearly opened. I've had a bank statement opened.

included here. The box was shipped from inside the U.S.

(Sorry my pic didn't come out. It was there at first.)

you don't care about the 4th Amendment,
as long as 'they' pay the bills?
By the way, who is the 'they' and what
bills are you talking about?

25. Thats interesting. I hadn't thought of that, but I was contacted by my
financial advisor that I was one of those nine million or so whose information had been "comprimised". Remember that?

I then asked her if any of her other clients had their information comprimised. She said yes that there were three others.

I then asked if they happened to be Democrats. She paused. Then she said yes, that they were Democrats.

Coincidence?*

11. Great...a new reason to live in paranoia and fear.
Putting gag orders to stop stories from reaching any respectable news sources, reading your mail, restricting free speech to 'zones', starting wars, mistreating prisoners, secretly executing people, tapping phones, censoring the internet, imprisoning people without charges, drilling in the arctic, repealing forest road laws, lying, cheating, bribing, supporting the dictatorships of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, hypocracy, mudslinging...this has to be a dream or something. This is only supposed to happen in some orwellian nightmarish hell. Sick shit...either this is just a dream, it's the end of democracy, or we've all been transported through time and space to Stalinist Russia.

....The second one?

18. Yes, my friend,
I'm afraid we are ARE living in the
ugly truth of dictatorship.
Did you read the article about Sandra Day
O'connor warning of such?

20. Just read it now...
We have been warned so many times. Sandra Day O'connor. George Orwell. Thomas Jefferson. Warned us, warned us, warned us. But people seem to think that freedom maintains itself, or that elections are sufficient to maintain freedom. But in Farenheit 451, they had elections, which just goes to show how we just want a comfortable lifestyle full of happy things, so instead of trying to seek truth and demand change,we accept lies, and displacing one bad leader will not save us. It's hardly the responsibility of the government to keep us free as much as it everyone's responsibility. In order to be free you have to think, and if you let the government do the thinking for you, you're not free...

Okay. Rant's over.

I do not like my post office. They break about 1 of every five packages Ive sent or ordered. I had bad experiences with the post office.

I do FedEx for shipping, much better.

I reported on this, several weeks ago. A couple packages, letters, and, weirdly, my Netflix selections.

That said, I get quite a few things by mail, and the bulk of them have not been opened.

21. WOW!
Now they even want to know what movies we're watching?
This is exactly what many Americans fought against...
Stalin & Hitler like tactics.
We went to war, whether it be a military war in WWII,
or the Cold War...WE stopped it in other countries before.
My question is, WHO WILL SAVE US FROM THIS UGLY NIGHTMARE?

19. It may not have been opened on purpose
It may have been an accident on one of the package handling machines. Lots of packages running around on conveyors and stuff, all at high speed. Your package could have been handled badly, knocked out of line, and sliced open by a piece of machinery. The reason I say this is because the cut line that you show is neat, straight and fairly even. In addition, it doesn't appear that the contents were sliced, which more than likely have happened with a person wielding a knife.

24. Open our personal mail but neglect to inspect
98% of the cargo in ports and 0% of cargo in planes... Seems like the little guy is the one getting targeted for this, does it not?... Now that they have to start inspecting all the cargo at ports, maybe they will stop searching people's packages.... yeah, right!

26. My husband orders all kinds of electronics equipment,
sometimes from overseas. You'd *think* they'd open his packages... but I haven't noticed it yet.

If they are doing, it's to make us feel "in danger" -- to let us know Homeland Security is watching -- not to actually find anything.

27. Thanks PTBLM for posting and for taking photos!! Very smart.
Americans need to follow suit and keep pictures of any invasive opening by the Postal Service.

Its a f-e-l-o-n-y last time I checked.

And fellow Americans, screw the Patriot Act.

Its illegal, anti American and anti-Constitutional as well.

Switzerland was cut around the perimeter and badly taped together. (It also arrived six weeks after it was posted.) The envelope was intact when it was mailed.

29. I don't do much by snail mail but I get strange emails sometimes.......
.....so I think there may be someone/s taking a look at my email. I write to a variety of online news agencies, as well as my Representative and Senator on a regular basis. I recently commented, for the hundreth time, about the ports issue to one online news publication. I purposely put in this one email that if the UAE truly wanted to do us a favor they could always take Bush and his entire administration off our hands. I continued with, "What the UAE does with this entire bunch of criminals was up to the UAE, no questions will ever be asked as long as these criminals are never allowed to show their faces again." Yes, I do hope Homeland Security eventually knocks on my door. :hi:
