Maria Barteromo just interviewed two long time CNBC Money Makers, Greg Vilaiare and Clyde Prestowicz and they were hysterical over the cancelling of the Ports Deal for what it could mean to international trade deals.
They were really pissed! Said "President is on the Run, a Lame Duck on Defense, and he needs to Clean House maybe starting with Cheney because the Fear and Zeonophobia out there could bite back on our Trade with foreign countries." (I used exact quotes from both of them)
Greg Vallaire (sp) said he didn't think we would get to "isolationism" until the unemployment reached 7% and so he was concerned but didn't think it would be immediate. Clyde Prestowicz was foaming at the mouth saying that this could hurt foreign investment by US abroad and by foreigners investing in the US. MSMNC then showed a figure onscrean of Foreign Investment in the US being 38.8 Billion.
Both of them seemed to be hysterical that all their "deals" might go sour because of Bush's lame duck status and one of them mentioned that unless the Iraq War went better we could be headed down the road of "Protectionism."
CNBC also had Pat Buchanan on today talking about how we should keep American control of our ports and commerce and that NAFTA had ruined our country.
:D...It was good to see the BUSINESS MONEY BAGS turning on their "Golden Calf" or maybe their "goose who laid the golden egg."
