2. You want to know how stupid we are?
We're allowing ex-presidents and high level government officials profit off the sale of public lands to benefit multi-national corporations. Is that obscene or what? I think we need to refine our definition of treason. There is no room for patriotism with capitalist anarchy.

3. when I was watching this, I was remembering a commercial from
some years back - Beatrice. Remember that one? It was a series of commercials, actually, showing various companies and products and then ending with "We're Beatrice"...

At what point does a company that has a diversified porfolio into various areas, such as !!!! Infrastructure!!!! cross a monopoly line. And if it doesn't, then there should be some kind of legal standard to prevent large ubiquitous companies from owning everything in the world under one umbrella.

5. And we banked them! That son of a bitch Halliburton took OUR money
through no bid contracts, and now they're turning around and buying OUR infra-structure. It is obscene! Especially when you realize that they're going to eventually partner with Arab royalty who go falcon hunting with bin Laden. Where are the good guys in the CIA, FBI, NSA or any government agency which can stop this take-over of America?!

6. I think, as your name says, that a backlash is coming
Who knew (I didn't) that our american infrastructure was owned by foreign companies? I knew our companies had gone overseas but it never occurred to me that this country would be stupid enough to sell off our critical assets to foreign countries. And, as Dobbs pointed out tonight, there's more. Heck, take the position Bush is taking now to allow other countries to take over our airlines.

It may be, as usual, slow, but it's coming.

4. Anyone who doesn't think Dubai will profit from this deal
and really be in control of the ports is living in la la land.

7. That's what I think.
They found a sneaky way to front it, and it's business as usual.
