DPW Out, Halliburton In. I hate being right all the time
I was telling my other half the other night that Halliburton would get the ports deal. This was before anyone suggested it. With these corrupt assholes, it was a no-brainer. Now, it looks like I may have been right.

God, being right all the time sucks. Just watch and see. Another monster no-bid jobbie for these miserable bastards.

3. Not exactly much of a surprise
Everything is pretty predictable now anyways.

You knew this had to go to some Bush crony or the other. It was inevitable.

4. Eller, a company that complained about the deal, originally...

...is supposedly in the running. And I heard that Hallinurton has no subsidiaries with the proper experience. Of course, a detail that minor would never stop Bigtime and Chimpy from handing it over to them. :eyes:

8. Worse yet, still no port security.
It does not matter who runs the port if there is no security.

9. Carlyle is suppose to be setting up a company just for this purpose
Problem is, UAE is also an investor in Carlyle. If Carlyle gets the contract, they will subcontract everything out and the UAE still gets what they want from the deal - access!

11. Carlyle
That wouldn't surprise me a bit. Do you think the UAE connection to Carlyle had anything to do with the chimp giving the keys to the UAE, on the sneak, no less.

13. Problem is these companies profit off of disasters/ terrorist attacks
Thats the problem. And now they have the keys (ie ports) to the "safes" (ie. our cities)?
