Anyone else having problems with DU?
For several days now, sometimes when I click on a thread - I get a basically BLANK page. The only thing on there is the Democratic Underground logo in the upper left corner. Occasionally, when I go back to that thread later, it will come up, but then it's also likely that when I go back again, it's blank again.

There is no discernible pattern to the blank threads, pages, etc. It can be in the middle of a thread - but more likely - it's from an original post and I can't get in at all.

I thought it was a bug that would go away, but it's still going on.

7. have you checked the sticky post about changes to DU
I think the whole siteis getting a revamp, perhaps there are still a few teething problems to be straightened out. If you do have a problem maybe you should report the glitch to the tech admin. They can't fix it if they don't know it's broke.

8. Almost certainly a problem on your end. From your description
it sounds like there is a problem with your ISP maintaining a connection w/Du server. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider, AOL, Earthlink, Cox, etc.)

11. I'm not sure I follow . . .
I'm still connected - it's just a particular page that's nearly blank . . sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not.

How could that be my ISP? And I'm having no other problems anywhere else. I'm not saying it's not, I just don't understand how it could be. (Though that could be due to my not having excessive 'puter savvy. )

16. Well, as with everything digital, it could be nearly anything, but from
your description it sounds like the browser thinks it has received the final data packet and the page is loaded. Some things to try;
clear your cache and temporary internet files, in Internet Explorer you will find this under tools>options and you will see a button to do this (if you've never done this before be prepared to wait awhile).

If this doesn't work, give us some more info and we'll try other options.
Which browser and version (IE, Firefox, Opera, etc.) (Version is under Help>About)
OS (windows +version, Mac, Linux)
ISP
How do you connect? (Dial-up, DSL, Cable, Other)

17. I clear my temp files
a couple of times a week. I did it again just now, though. I don't see a "clear cache" option anymore.

WIN XP
IE version 6.0;
I have Sprint/Earthlink DSL.

20. DANG! the problems's back
if it ever went away. :( It doesn't seem to be as pervasive - but - it's still happening.

I deleted the temp files again to see if that would help this time, but it's not.

Any other suggestions???

I'm going to do a complete scan and defrag, too while I'm at it.
