I have met Gail Norton and really thought she was a benefit to the Department of the Interior. Sad to see her go.

More from Fox... she is "protesting opening western land for oil drilling..."
Maybe we should get her one of these shirts:

"Under her watch, the Interior Department stripped protection from areas previously managed as wilderness, opened forests to increased logging, reopened Yellowstone National Park to snowmobiles and urged federal land managers to speed up drilling for gas on public land."
No LSM bias reeking through this article, no siree!! These feeble-minded liberal reporters sure know how to write objective, non-partisan screeds........

I'm just guessing based on the reports here, she certainly is a below the radar cabinet member.
Sounds like she ticked off the greenies though. Also sounds like she's pro-commerce, pro-business in opening up logging and allowing snowmobiling in Yellowstone.

Anyone who ticks off the greenies and is pro business is a stellar candidate, imo.

I'm pro-business and certainly anti-greenie, but I'd sure like to see the details on the sales of gas/oil/mineral/timber rights. Who did they go to? Dubai? Japan? Australia? and for HOW MUCH?

I VERY miss Ashcroft. He didn't fit with the neocon PC program though.

Press Sec has to be one of the worst jobs ever, having to deal with self-righteous, left-wing hacks day in and day out. Having to listen to their incessant badgering and whining. It would make you want to spit right in their faces. I honestly don't know how anyone could do that job.
