Freeper Hate in Overdrive over Christian American's Murder
While always a chilling mass of twisted hatred, the Freepers have possibly outdone themselves tonight in cheering the death of American Tom Fox:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1594253/posts

I'll warn you, their vitriol tonight is nauseating...I'm truly sickened by the thought that this type of sick fucks may actually live close to me.

1. Don't think I can bring myself tolook at the trash. As I posted elsewhere:
Freeper christians only focus on the legalistic aspects of the bible. Thats why they are so fixated on shoving the ten commandments into the public square. Don't you find it odd they are never trying to focus on Christ's sermon on the mount or any other of Christ's teaching for that matter??
They can't bother themselves with Christs teachings; it would cause their whole house of cards to fall down. Mark chapter 7 is a good example of a passage that our hypocrite pharisees of today on the right never hears from their pulpits:

Mark 7 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society

Mark 7
Clean and Unclean
1The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus and 2saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were "unclean," that is, unwashed. 3(The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)
5So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with 'unclean' hands?"

6He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
" 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.' 8You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

9And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! 10For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.' 11But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban' (that is, a gift devoted to God), 12then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. 13Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."

14Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.' "

17After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18"Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? 19For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")

20He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' 21For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' "

23. This always gets me
Looks like the terrorists have won

That would make the writers(crAP)of this story happy.

It's fucked up how so many of them really think that journalists at AP, Newsweek, the NYT etc. actually hate America and side with the terrorists. This is so nuts it's hard to believe. And we're supposed to be the whacko conspiracy theorists. :banghead:

Hatred begets hatred. Clinton knew this. You achieve peace by being peaceful.

Mr. Fox went for peace but his government represented the violent aggression.

7. Why did we invade and occupy a government and kill their
people? They were never a threat to us. They never had anything to do with 9/11. But we continue killing them.
Why? Our own troops keep taking a beating as shown at www.icasualties.org

Why are we still there?

4. The basic sub-text of the freeper
thread seems to be that he deserved to die because he was not a flaming Bushbot. Idiots.

The scum that killed him are still scum but we are not without some complicity in all of this. The two things are not mutually exclusive. Clear, critical thinking seems to be beyond the folks at FR.

5. That is wrong on so many levels....
*shakes head* That people would do such things to prisoners in the first place....that Muslim extremists would kill someone who was trying to STOP them from doing those things...and that they call him UNAMERICAN for caring about these atrocities....

12. I think it is some what nuts
Christians who do these things will go any place but I can not see why our gov, would let them when they where trying to get the country under control. In Iraq they seem to be having a war in their own religious so why would you let another one in? I have read that many of the Ch. Iraq have left the country. Then I do not think dumping Christian in to Middle East at this time seems very smart at all.

16. I wonder if it ever occurred to them that Christians lived in Iraq under
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 01:27 AM by Catrina
Saddam Hussein, like Margaret Hassan eg who was married to an Iraqi man and was there for 30 years. After George Bush invaded the country and unleashed all this horror, with no plan to establish order, many of those Christians had to leave.

I suppose they haven't seen the pictures of dead Iraqis after the bombings, after what they CHEERED for, 'Shock and Awe' ~ innocent men, women and children who had done nothing at all to deserve it.

Do their brains ever compute that when you kill and torture people on a daily basis, after invading and occupying their country, this is what happens? All the criminals were freed, remember?? Bush destroyed the country. And Freepers couldn't foresee anything but total victory ~ they cheered the torture and killing of innocent people ~

But their rabid hatred, fueled by rightwing hate radio and the Bush administration's own propaganda has backfired on Bush. He can't put it all back into the Pandora's box he opened and he, like them, is stunned by the backlash he saw over his little deal with the UAE!

If this killing was done by Muslim extremists, they are the Freepers' counterparts in Iraq.

Tom Fox was a Christian trying to do something good for Muslims and he died ~ freepers would kill a Muslim trying to good for Christians under similar circumstances.

There is nothing so dangerous as stupidy in action

19. INHO, Christians have no right to go there. Their aim is to
convert Muslims. Leave people alone and stop trying to get a star in your crown for converting someone. Help the poor in your own country. Sorry,But these people are taking a bigger risk than they think. It is their responsibility when these things happen.

27. You might want to learn something about CPT before judging them...
Christian Peacemaker Teams: http://cpt.org/

CPTnet
2 December 2005

IRAQ: Most recent reflection by Tom Fox, "Why are we here?"

{Note: The following reflection was written by Tom Fox the day before he was
abducted.}

The Christian Peacemaker Team (CPT) Iraq team went through a discernment
process, seeking to identify aspects of our work here in Iraq that are
compelling enough to continue the project and comparing them with the costs
(financial, psychological, physical) that are also aspects of the project.
It was a healthy exercise, but it led me to a somewhat larger question: Why
are we here?

If I understand the message of God, his response to that question is that we
are to take part in the creation of the Peaceable Realm of God. Again, if I
understand the message of God, how we take part in the creation of this
realm is to love God with all our heart, our mind and our strength and to
love our neighbors and enemies as we love God and ourselves. In its
essential form, different aspects of love bring about the creation of the
realm.

I have read that the word in the Greek Bible that is translated as "love" is
the word "agape." Again, I have read that this word is best expressed as a
profound respect for all human beings simply for the fact that they are all
God's children. I would state that idea in a somewhat different way, as
"never thinking or doing anything that would dehumanize one of my fellow
human beings."

As I survey the landscape here in Iraq, dehumanization seems to be the
operative means of relating to each other. U.S. forces in their quest to
hunt down and kill "terrorists" are, as a result of this dehumanizing word,
not only killing "terrorists," but also killing innocent Iraqis: men, women
and children in the various towns and villages.

It seems as if the first step down the road to violence is taken when I
dehumanize a person. That violence might stay within my thoughts or find its
way into the outer world and become expressed verbally, psychologically,
structurally or physically. As soon as I rob a fellow human being of his or
her humanity by sticking a dehumanizing label on them, I begin the process
that can have, as an end result, torture, injury and death.

"Why are we here?" We are here to root out all aspects of dehumanization
that exist within us. We are here to stand with those being dehumanized by
oppressors and stand firm against that dehumanization. We are here to stop
people, including ourselves, from dehumanizing any of God's children, no
matter how much they dehumanize their own souls.

I paused and wondered about the thousands of innocent Iraqis murdered in Bush and Bliar's war. They may be anonymous to us but they sure aren't to their families and their deaths are no less tragic. Fugg all Freepers - they are complicit in this mess.

I heard on BBC that the Interior Ministry may have something to do with his death. Well I remember several religious people being murdered during Negroponte's Central American hiatus. Bushco must be stopped.
