3. The Fact That So Many Of Us Think He's Great May Point To The Reason
Mind this is only supposition but he's known as a lefty and that may leave him open to horrible swiftboating. He also has a great deal of trouble raising money because of his stances and that is a problem. However, give this country another year under BUSHco and the RW straight jacket and the country may be dying for the type of truth and honesty as well as clear headed thinking that he is known for.

6. He's like a Dean with some self-control
Don't get me wrong, I worked my ass off for Dean in '04. But Feingold, from what I've seen, has more gravitas and credentials. He would be a serious contender.

say he was or wasn't running? Don't let the Media make you believe that our candidate is Hillary. Heck! I don't even want to vote for her as my Senator again, and wish there was a viable candidtate opposing her.

14. He seems to be the only one
with balls --- fighting the so-called "Patriot" Act tooth and nails and providing leadership on a host of other issues. When the other Dems are dithering, or VOTING for the "Patriot" Act, he's fighting the good fight, loudly, publicly and with dignity. He's bright, an independent thinker, articulate and gutsy. I hope he runs for President. Unfortunately, in the Fascist, so-called "christian" family-values Talibanate that is now the United States of America he has several strikes against him: he has been divorced twice and is Jewish. A swift-boater's or Karl Rove's paradise. If he runs, just watch how fast the "family values" and anti-Semitism cards will be played, especially in the red states. I wish these were not things to be taken into account, but we're dealing with ruthless, hardball-playing, win-at-any-cost sharks/jackals who go for the jugular everytime.

15. Feingold will be on "This Week" with Snugglepuss tomorrow
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 12:42 PM by undeterred
He said a few months ago that he hadn't made his mind up yet about running but there was a story out this week that he had hired a consultant to help him get ready for the Iowa caucuses. I don't blame him for being cagey about it.

And if he doesn't run, those of us in Wisconsn will hold a sit-in at his office until he announces!

18. I believe Senator Feingold is already in the race, though unofficially.
I also believe he will be a force to be reckoned with in Iowa and New Hampshire.

More-to-the-left active Democrats in Iowa may support Feingold, thus subtracting from Senator Clinton's totals and damaging her media-hyped inevitable first-place finish.

Feingold finishes ahead of Senator Clinton by siphoning huge chunks of that more-to-the-left demographic in Iowa.
