The goal is to control mental health legislation. Would it surprise you to know only one of the 14 legislators is a Democrat - Albert Hale - a Navajo from Window Rock. That surprised me!!!

It is so f---ing comforting to know John Travolta has a handle on Arizona politics.

6. I know exactly how you feel. I've often described Arizona as "a land

of incredible beauty inhabited by pasty faced, mouth breathing, knuckle draggers". You have to live here for awhile to really understand it. I'm sorry you learned this first hand.
I'm working to get out of this shit-hole as hard as I can. Unfortunately it is like a black hole, easy to get in, almost impossible to get out. Mostly due to the substandard wages paid here.

I agree about the wages problem. I'm a teacher and want to move to either Seattle (where I grew up) or Anchorage (where my sister and her family live). But I can't afford housing in either of those cities. I can barely afford what I have now -- a very modest home. So in some ways I feel trapped here.

and put together moving money, plus when you do try, you find out how coming from a fascist backwater like this prejudices people in civilized areas against you. The assumption is that since you're from here, you must be 'one of them' and nobody want 'one of them' in their company. Would you?

12. hi greyhound. actually we have a very good income. when my

husband transferred here it was on new york salary. we're trapped by the beauty. we love the desert and the wildlife. of course, when summer comes i start asking myself "what the f--- are you doing here in this big convection oven"? the heat doesn't bother my husband but we're hoping that maybe in a few years we can get a small place in the high country for the summer. can't do it now because our cats would be traumatized by any kind of move. have also considered a condo in san diego to live in the summer, but the prices are way too high for the amount of square footage.:hi:
