Freeper is blaming Target and local officials...
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 05:26 PM by Archae
For Claude Allen's rank stupidity.

And asks if Target is a French company? :wtf:

You're absolutely right. We keep shoving our own out the door and into the jaws of the biased MSM wolves.
Don't these people remember Rather and Mapes and how they made things up? People who believe in the things Claude believes in just don't steal - it was either a setup or a mistake magnified by liberal media bias.

Anybody know the party registration of the local officials? And isn't Target a French company?

3. Wait 'till they figure out Target/Mark Dayton's family.

That'll really convince them of a left-wing conspiracy.

4. Huh? He's blaming Target for doing a good job
at catching someone shoplifting? What a moron. Yes, it's a grand conspiracy cooked up by the French and liberal media to smear the good name of Allen! :sarcasm:

8. Hmmm. Have they ever considered that maybe he doesn't really believe in
the things he says he believes in? Maybe the pious, righteous act was just a quick way to get votes/prestige/power/money or whatever it is he wanted. Clearly he has some honesty issues.

9. Allen's not only a crook, he's an out of touch crook.
With computerized inventory controls, most retail outlets can tell (via scan) if/when almost any item was sold and they can tell you BY SIZE and color for garments. If there are more than one chain stores in a market area, they can tell which store sold what size of a garment by date.

Busted a gang of thugs who would shoplift and then try to return items for cash using a little time and the computerized inventory system. It was fun. They were really obnoxious and thought they were SOOO slick. Also from a culture which tends to devalue and abuse women, so it was extra fun for me and another female manager to gather up all the info showing the items had been stolen then tell the big ol cops, 'cuff 'em, Dano'. Whoo-doogie, those guys were pissed. The store security kept a watch for our safety for quite some time after all the threats and curses.

Am not crazy for the intrusion computer data can be in our lives, but store inventory data can sure be fun to whip out and use against the idiots who think they can slip their paws into the till like it was their personal petty cash fund ;)

19. I've heard about gangs like that.
Saw a guy who might have been from a gang like that shoplift some expensive stereo equipment, using his little girl (if that was his little girl) to provide a distraction, throwing a tantrum on cue.

Didn't work.

24. Target is reputed to have one of the best theft control depts
in retail industry. Headed up by some ex-Feds. Saw a report on TV other day how they helped a local police dept solve a murder in a convenience store. They quickly enhanced the video for the PD and also were able to pick up part of the getaway vehicle and were able to match a small portion of tape to identify the vehicle make and model. The report said that many PD's are coming to them for help with video tape to help them solve crimes that didn't even occur at Target. They do it free and quick for the PDs.

10. but it's all a sad misunderstanding, read Mr.bush said this & I trust him
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4797400.stm
"When I heard the story last night, I was shocked, and my first reaction was one of disappointment, deep disappointment - if it's true - that we were not fully informed," Mr Bush said on Saturday.

"Shortly thereafter, I felt really sad for the Allen family."

"If the allegations are true, something went wrong in Claude Allen's life, and that is really sad."

Mr Allen resigned suddenly on 9 February, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Mallon Snyder, a lawyer for Mr Allen, called the arrest and charges "a misunderstanding", and said he wanted to meet Target investigators to clear things up.

"Clear things up"? Is this like "I thought he was a little bird so I shot him" and "I believed there were WMDs so I killed all those folks, but there might be sometime now so I was right"? You steal, you get caught, you suffer the consequences. Period.

PING

A bit ago I saw a segment on FOX about this incident and the guy from Slate told FOX news that this is yet another problem for the White House.

When the heck will folks start reminding the viewers that events are not all caused by the White House.

This guy has been arrested not convicted. That is how it is supposed to work in this country. Give him a chance to prove his innocence. If he is guilty than punish the guy.

His affiliation with the White House has nothing to do with his arrest. If anything, the "fact's" show a very troubled man that needs help. I do not excuse bad conduct but from his back ground check, he evidently had nothing in his past and those security checks are QUITE extensive.

Anyway, I am just sick and tired of all events caused by this administration. As though folks aren't responsible for THEIR own actions.

Sorry for the gripe just angry.

13. That's hilarious
This morning they were talking about drawing and quartering (practically) some teacher who was "rumored" to have smacked a cell phone out of a student's hand.

They're usually SO into punishment . . .

Well let's pause for a moment and consider what we know Claude believes in, since he works for BushCo:

Lying
Cheating
Stealing
Murdering

Sounds like a prime suspect for any crime. The only surprise is the pettiness of it. BushCo staffers usually go for much bigger potatoes.

18. I actually agree with the nut that said it's not the fault of the WH for
what Claude did. Of course it's not, but it sure adds to the list of piss poor people they continue to hire!!!!!

I'd be willing to admit that any administration or Company can make a mistake and hire someone who turns out to be a crook. There's a real problem when ONE hires MOSTLY crooks!!!!

Most administrations tend to hire friends and people they've worked with in the past. THIS Admin. appears to have only crooks and criminals in their circle of friends and associates!!!!!

No, Target is not a French company! Geez, these people are so dense!:banghead:

Also, *why* would this guy even be in a Target store? He must be rich. Why wasn't he at some chi-chi boutique store?
