Need technical assistance in posting links |
|
Can anyone tell me how to post a link in a paper where you have to register to get the article? What if the article is a cached one from another publication. Can I just copy and paste? Also, I want to post the cover of a magazine of a newspaper. How is that done?
Sorry to be so lame technically, but I had to pass up a great story in my local paper because I couldn't figure out how to post the link.

1. Your right mouse button is your freind! |
|
To post a link just highlight the address, right click it & copy then paste it here in your message.
On a graphic, righ click it (In IE) select properties then copy and paste the location. In Firefox right click and select copy image location.

but can I do it for cached articles that appear from another source in the daily newspaper? They look a little funny.
I'm afraid I don't know if I have IE or Firefox. How do I find out?

4. It's your browser. IE will say Microsoft Internet Explorer on the very to |
|
Firefox will say Mozilla Firefox.
You can still copy and paste the address but as someone else hinted at, others may have to register to see the page.

2. You can copy and paste a link from your URL line. |
|
If people have to register to read, that's another story Others may have schemes to get around that.
For a picture on the web, right-click and get its properties. Select and copy the URL of the picture and paste it into your post. It will show the picture. It's magic.
