http://www.booktv.org/ram/feature/0106/btv012806_4.ram Gary Berntsen, former CIA field commander, talks about his effort to catch Osama bin Laden during the recent war in Afghanistan. In "Jawbreaker," the book he co-authored with Ralph Pezullo, he explains that insufficient responses from the administration led to the escape of Osama bin Laden. Mr. Berntsen also details his hunts for the al Qaeda leader, including missions that occurred 15 months before the September 11th terrorist attacks. During the presentation, Mr. Berntsen and Ralph Pezullo urge bi-partisan cooperation in order to defeat global terrorism. This event was hosted by Dutton's Beverly Hills Books in California.
Gary Berntsen was an officer in the Clandestine Service for 20 years and was awarded both the Distinguished Intelligence Medal and the Intelligence Star. Ralph Pezzullo is the author of "At the Fall of Somoza" and "Plunging into Haiti."
You can watch this at the link above... I enjoyed it, although I get the impression he is telling us more of what the military wants him to than the real truth. I could be biased, but you're never really "former CIA".
