Why does Zogby keep asking me if I'm liberal and armed?
That's the second or third time I've seen that choice set come up. Awful personal if you ask me. :wtf:

3. Statistics.
The same reason they always ask if you're a NASCAR fan or shop at Wal-Mart. The answers are a means for statistical analysis of political demographic groups.

4. Do they ask if you're armed or own guns/rifles?
I've interpreted those two questions as they're wanting to know how many libs are okay with guns and actually own any.

5. They ask if I keep a firearm in my place of work or residence.
I tell them no, I like surprises.

9. Those questions along with the cookie issue = I don't do those polls
Seems like a lot of potential for data mining, especially when you are responding to an email link they send. Seems likely to me they could match your responses to your email addy, which, combined with the registration info they get when you sign on equals the surveys are NOT anonymous near as I can figure.

11. You can clear the cookies, you know.
If you clear your cookies and cache daily, and run AdAware or a similar program frequently, you run little risk of being effectively "mined."

You can have your opinions counted in the polls and keep your privacy.

:)

17. Yeah, I know that. BUT , when the email has a link for the questions
how do I know that link is not specific to MY email, which, per their registration form, is also linked with my location. THAT is my problem.

There are aspects about my personal life I do not want out there to people I don't know.

12. I have no trouble with them knowing some things about me
They target their polls. So, I received invitations to participate in polls specific to my state. I refuse to get uptight if they know I have weapons and am a liberal. After all, we aren't all against guns and the myth that we are should be dispelled. The polls also help Dem candidates know where the base is at on issues.

14. Maybe they're trying to determine...
...if recent events have caused liberals to rethink their stand on gun control. That whole "best defense against tyranny" thing.

16. You sure it's Zogby that's asking you that?
Could be our own SS.

Could be the OHS.

Could be the Nationalized Neighborhood Watch (your local Gestapo adjunct group)

Could be VIPS or TIPS, helping to purge Imperial Amerika of disloyal citizens.

Sadly, Amerika has fallen so low, and the Imperial Subjects of Amerika so willing to become Nazi-lites (and perhaps full-blown if enough time passes), that I put NOTHING out of bounds for consideration.

It would surprise me not at all to find out there were hudnreds of Freeper-groups compiling names and making list for the Halliburton Detention Campsafter Fuhrer stages his next 9-11.

Careful whom you tell what over the phone. And BE READY when crunch time comes.
