We got hit by a tornado and freak hailstorm

I just now got back on line and now we are in another severe thunderstorm warning.

First Katrina, now this! There are areas down the road that STILL have 6-8 inches of hail 3 hours after the storm. What makes matters worse, everywhere the hail lies it causes a thick zero visibility Stephen King fog around it. I only have one pic come out on my digital. Took some pix on my film camera too.

I may have to run again quick. We're okay but we have a lot of broken windows.

This is nothing compared to what it looks like a mile down the road. They had to bring out the snow plows to plow the hail!

Branson is mostly closed down. Trees and poles down. The fog is treacherous. I went to town and drove towards the area where the tornado touched down and I couldn't see a foot in front of me because of the damned fog. I had my head out the window to try to see the yellow line. Its just like dry ice fog. My sister is still in Branson and faces a dangerous ride home.

15. That picture was taken almost two hours after the storm

I went outside to check on my car and sunk in 4 inches of hail/rainwater. Like stepping into an ice bucket. There was an incredible amount of rain with this storm. The winds were horizontal and thick with hail. That's when my sisters bedroom windows shattered. We stood in the hallway and heard a steady roar that I'm assuming was the twister passing by us. This wasn't the first time one has come up the hill towards us.



This is the window of my camper that I was fixing up to take back down to Biloxi. Just 2 hours earlier I was lying on the bench inside trying to decide which window to remove to put in an air conditioner. The storm helped me make my decision.

I called to check on a 74 year old friend who lived near where the tornado actually touched down. He said he was trying to figure out how to get 8 inches of hail away from his door. He said it's the worst storm he had seen since he was in the service and he said he didn't want to see another one.

a "funnel cloud" in the hills which tore the roof off a barn.

it's raining like crazy in San Diego. I don't think it has rained this much in a long time, but we have areas that are still prone to mudslides & erosion because of the damage caused by the big fire a few years ago.

About 70 miles S. of San Francisco. Snow on the mountains around here isn't that uncommon - we usually have snow down to about 1500' one or two times a year. But snow at sea level is unusual. It's been cold and wet the whole month so far.

I'm going to Buffalo, NY next week to visit family and thaw out.

Roof reported torn off a McDonalds restaurant at Highway
248 and Gretna Road. A number of structures at this

I live about a mile from Rockaway Beach as the crow flies. Two miles driving.

First I heard of the roof off McDonald's in Branson.

They are having the NAIA Basketball Tournament at College of the Ozarks this weekend. Quite a few people in town right now. I've been listening to the scanner all night. I know there was a lot of wind damage all around. Power out all over the county. The local officials are having one hell of an evening.

These isolated supercells are popping up everywhere. The one between Eureka Springs and Fayetteville will probably move into my area within the hour. I live right about where the "O" is in Branson on this radar map.

I live in Ft. Smith

and most of these storms have gone around us, but the Low pressure is farther up in Missouri so it is pulling the gulf air up and the colder air seems to be farther north.

Although we are in a tornado watch here and there have been some warnings around here, fortunately they have all gone around Ft Smith. Although we could still use the rain.
