1. They used to cover things that happened on America's streets.
You used to see the poverty in the inner-cities, the distant war with thousands dead, and people on the street corner giving short, frank interviews about what's happening, and you used to have people talking about what to do with those glaring problems. It's not that way anymore, and it hasn't been since the 1980s.

You don't see any of that anymore. You see superficial stories now, but the thing is the poverty is still there; the war is still there; the problems are still there. The only difference is that they've changed clothes and appearance, but they're still there.

I'll pass it on to the photographer. I've been a member of his site for awhile and was very glad to see him shooting these shots and not afraid to speak his mind as well.
