Deserting is the only honourable thing to do. These people have my utter respect. But if 8000 people per week would desert and speak out against the war in Iraq, all your troops would be home within 3 months. And it would create a strong movement for impeaching Bush.

They are just personally and individually redeploying themselves for other important contingencies. Fighting a cause of utter madness is just utter madness. The feckless people in D.C. who claim to be leaders of the federal government are no more protecting the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution than the man on the moon
