2. Yup. Kinda takes away from her "courageous stance", doesn't it?
When she makes sure she is far enough away to be safe herself as she decries the situation. I put her in the same category as Colin Powell. They let us down when they could have stood up, and now still want what they say to count for something. Cowards, both.

4. Sandra Dull O'Connor seeks redemption- FORGET IT, SANDY!
Amazing she could say the courts can't make presidents. Was she asleep in Dec. 2000?

6. I agree with other posters here that Judge O'Connor ought to have
seen the pattern a long time ago with this administration.

She's toasted for her "moderate" views in some of the cases where she was the swing vote, but I've never felt she was much more than a Reagan-appointed conservative.

Just the same, I'd like for this remark she's made to get wider circulation in the media. Fat chance, I know, but it would assist in the rehabilitation of red voters so they could re-join the ranks of real citizens and be productive, critical thinkers in a functioning democracy.
