Why so necessary these electronic elections when at the same time

we practice a Primary and National Election process conceived in the horse and buggy days?
I am forced to watch political candidates and nominees for a year ad nausea um because that's how long
it took to get around to all the debates in a stage coach or whatever in 'old days' but when it comes
to pulling the lever...Oh no, that takes too long to count! Lets use these machines that uh,
you know, well they work sort of like, well, anyway Diebold knows about that technical stuff.
