The Democrats really seemed calm and they had their stuff together today. The Republican guests seemed to have more trouble and the newcasters seemed to harass them more.

Anyone else notice this?

2. I'm not finished watching everything I TiVo'd, but George Allen

sure was stumbly on MTP when asked if he was a " Bush Republican". He stammered that he was a "Jeffersonian Conservative"!

He also stumbled when asked about Frist winning the straw poll.

19. my favorite part of Allen was on the abortion issue...

he said he favored leaving it to the states and if South Dakota wanted to outlaw abortion, even in cases of rape and incenst, they should be allowed to. Tim said: and if a state wants it to be legal in all instances, I guess you're saying that state should be allowed to do it too. And Allen looked like he'd swallowed his tongue. All he could say was: I can't imagine any state would want to allow it in the 3rd trimester.

I SO wanted Tim to ask: And if a state wants to legalize gay marriage is THAT okay? But, he really didn't need to. It was clear. Allen is for states rights when those states do what HE wants. And only then.

I missed Frist and Russ but my mom called immediately after all the shows were over to say "weren't the shows great this morning?" She felt it too. Not only didn't they totally trash the dems, as they usually do on Sunday morning these days, they had some good dem spokespersons on. From what I saw, it was better than usual.
