Man Charged With Raping, Killing 7-Month-Old Niece

"A Stark County man has been charged with the rape and murder of his 7-month-old niece.


Waynesburg police said that Henry Anthony Sunderman, 32, called 911 on Friday morning. Paramedics found his niece, Zoey Sunderman, unresponsive. She died later that afternoon at Akron Children's Hospital.

Sunderman was arrested after a short interview at his Canton home. Police said the man was caring for the infant, along with her 7-year-old brother and 5- and 2-year-old sisters, while their mother, 26-year-old Leslie Sunderman, was at work.

Henry Sunderman was on suicide watch at the Stark County Jail. Court records indicate an arrest record including domestic violence, aggravated menacing, driving under the influence and soliciting an undercover police officer for prostitution."

Suicide watch huh? I would probably get distracted for a few hours if I was supposed to be watching this pig. This was on my local news and the one guy who knew this asshole said the bastard sat there watching TV and showing no sign of being upset while the cops were there.

On edit: Just to clarify. I am not for the DP in any case, I should have said that it is cases like these that forces me to rethink my position. I'm not backtracking, I just worded it wrong in my OP.

5. It's hard to argue with sex

offenders,because they often commit the same offense again.I'm anti death penalty,but I have no answer for what to do with these offenders.

7. It's a horrible crime, no doubt

I don't make exceptions to my being anti-DP, because I prefer to be consistent. Making one exception would go against my reasons for being against it. So, I would abolish the whole thing. But with cases like these, I don't shed a tear or anything when execution happens.

I am not a death penalty advocate either, but think a creature like this should be locked away from any human contact forever. I mean no TV, magazines, telephone, radio, books, nothing. No contact with humans ever again, except when he's fed his crappy two meals a day and his ten minute shower period, twice a week. And then, no conversation allowed. Eat and shutup.
