Does Condoleeza Rice ever speak before any largely black audiences?

OK, she's Sec'y of State and presumably has to spend more time meeting world leaders (the elite) than meeting with members of the public. But, then, the administration sent her out to meet with "ordinary folks" in an attempt to dispel the argument that race had something to do with the administration's non-response to Katrina. Plenty of African-Americans affected by the hurricane with whom she could have met...so, which victims did she meet to sell the "race not a factor" notion?



Well, I guess making white people feel reassured that "race was not a factor" left her no time to meet with other victims, like these folks, for example:


So, I ask again--when she has had the chance, has she ever spoke or met with an audience of ordinary folks who were largely black? Would she have anything to say?

...sometimes makes an issue of her race even though the overwhelming majority of African Americans seem, well, a little embarrassed of her, and she doesn't seem like she's doing much to help those African Americans who maybe aren't lucky enough to get the same chances she did.

It's amazing to see the different moral values and paths these two sisters have taken. It would make a very powerful film. Connie Rice graduated from Harvard in 1978 and attended NYU school of law on a scholarship. She joined the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in 1991 and became co-director of it (in Los Angeles) in 1996. She has filed many civil rights class actions redressing police misconduct, race & and sex discrimination and unfair public policy in transportation, probation and public housing.

She filed a landmark case on behalf of low income bus riders which resulted in a mandate that more than 2 billion dollars be spent to improve the system. And in 1999, rice launced a coalition lawsuit that won $750 million for new school construction in Los Angeles - money previously slated for less crowded, more affluent suburban school districts. In these and other cases, Rice has led multi-racial coalitions of lawyers and clients to win more than $4 billion worth of injunctive relief and damages.

In her non-litigation work in the 90's, Connie Rice served as counsel to the Watts gang truce and spearheaded a statewide campaign to save equal opportunity programs. Honored as one of California's ten most influential lawyers.

What an obscene waste of human potential Condoleeza is, compared to her sister.

I am African American and I don't recall being invited or hearing about her being invited to speak to a Black audience that is not born again.
