The only good news: Bush knows it's bad
PRESIDENT BUSH’S speech last night was an attempt to show that “he gets it” — that he understands why Americans blame him for the mess in Iraq.
That can’t hurt. He has spent the past six weeks repeating choice bits from his State of the Union speech, while the state of Iraq’s union has exploded into clear crisis. At least he is acknowledging what the rest of the US is seeing nightly on the television.

But he cannot be surprised, as his poll ratings slip to their lowest ever levels, if the rest of his message is greeted with scepticism: about the need to “not lose our nerve”; the US’s “comprehensive strategy for victory”; and his view that the past three weeks in Iraq could have been much worse.

If there is comfort for him, it is at home, where the Democrats are failing to take advantage of his weakness.

1. i saw him this morning at one of the universities. i only picked up
a little bit because as usual i was yelling at the tv. he seemed to still be trying to convince people that we're in iraq and we're going to stay there. he's thick headed and stubborn like the spoiled little kid that he is.:puke:

3. I think that he believes that the problem is his wardrobe
If he only wore the right color $500.00 silk shirt, then the American people would jump
up and say, Yes, Go, George, keep sending our young people over to be blown up by an invisible enemy and keep charging it on America's credit card. Let our grandchildren pay,
H***ll Yes, since they'll still be fighting over then in 50 years, they should pay for it.
