In this post-9/11 world, is it really appropriate...

...that we still use arabic numbers?

Maybe we should switch to Roman numerals? It might make us "safer!"

It's not what they write in Arabic (that's in the chart you posted above), but they are called Arabic.

Imagine what confusion if we suddenly had to convert to Roman numerals.

8. Now that I'm terrified and trembling,
I'll take the Roman numerals.

II + II = IV
IV x XXVII = CVIII

I don't even have to check my math. Other people will just take my word for it. See how easy Roman numerals can be when you get into the terra lert mode. :)
