Numbers below are in thousands

Net jobs 2001-2006.................................2305
Equilibrium jobs (160k/mo).........................9920
Shortage..............................................-7615
Net jobs since 2003 Q4............................4894
Equilibrium jobs (160k/mo).........................4640
Gain.......................................................254


There's been a net gain of 254,000 jobs since Oct. 2003. Wow.

When you average-in the CEO's salaries, who earn thousands of times more than their workers, it ends up looking okay though. Never did trust the tv news bullshit rosie scenario after Reagan had them 'on bended knee' (good book).

Assuming 160,000 jobs/mo. need to be created for equilibrium.


Someone please correct me if the 160,000/mo. is inaccurate.

9. I found two articles at Economic Policy Institute from early and late 2004
that showed 137,000 and then 150,000, respectively.

Given population growth and that the LFPR has picked up of late, 160,000 sounds like a fair assessment.
