Massachusetts' gay couple adoption controversy
Apparently, Gov. Mitt Romney is now allowing Catholic charities to ignore state law requiring unstable or disabled or otherwise "difficult" orphans and foster kids to be placed in the homes of gay couples. How sick is this? You should hear what the local conservative talk radio stations are saying...

the worst argument was that because they are Catholic charities they can't just abandon their scriptures for state law... since when did the church become exempt from following the law? (please don't even start with the whole molestation charges...)

I just don't see how any stable couple can be denied the opportunity to help a child in need, easing the state's burden as well as the charity supporting him or her, just based on their sexuality.

More and more reasons why Romney should not be president, let alone a governor.

1. the Church's position on this us just bullshit . . .
they're making a completely invalid assumption that there's something wrong with placing kids with gay couples because homosexuality is "sinful" . . . will they place kids with couples that include a partner who's divorced and re-married? . . . with a couple that doesn't "keep holy the Sabbath"? . . . with an interfaith couple? . . .

this is nothing more than rank bigotry on the part of the Church which isn't even supported in Scripture . . . it's just bullshit . . .

2. I thought these people said that children are sacred, no its the embryo.
It's all about the fracking embryo. Maybe if we started reporting embryo deaths from both Iraq and Katrina than these pricks will finally get upset and leave the repuke party. All this law does is hurt kids that want a family. And these people say there religious. Hah! The words scribe and pharisee come immeadiately to my mind.
