90-95% of the people screaming to shut it down during an election year

Dubai port deal was not a case of Congress all of a sudden taking action - it was a reaction to 95% of the American people screaming about it. WE THE PEOPLE did it - not congress

repugs were/are to busy scrambling to find a piece of bush*'s coattail to hang on to - and the dems are trying to find a way to "oppose" bush* without being accused of being "unpatriotic"

if anything is going to get done in the interest of "THE PEOPLE" - it means "WE THE PEOPLE" have to do it
