Does anyone know what they are doing with all the bodies? (Baghdad)
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 10:57 AM by Plaid Adder
I don't know why this is what's bothering me, but this morning when they read the item about the 40 or 80 or however many bodies it is that they've found now, I just started thinking, Jesus, where will they put them all? It seems like they are finding bodies too fast to dispose of them.

I hate this century,

1. Mass graves?
Burning piles? I have no idea but it is sad. But don't forget none of this is bush's fault.

4. I don't know what they are doing with the bodies, but
didn't the Doctor in charge of the morgue flee last week because he feared for his life if he were to report the actual figures of how many have died?

As per your closing remarks, I share similar feelings. At the turn of the century, I was in my mid-20's and after 8 years of peace and prosperity, my idealistic soul couldn't wait to see how amazing this century would turn out. What types of technological advances, as well as civil rights advances both globally and domestically would we be embracing? Now all I can focus on is how in the world do we clean up this mess? I'm going to be spending more time mopping up the crap that has been flung across this planet in my 30's and 40's than I had anticipated.

6. I'm almost 60 and I've watched things get better every decade
I've lived. I had the same outlook you did about the new century and millinium. It sure didn't take them long to destroy things. However, I have found out over the last 5 years that our government has been screwing us and our economy over for 50-90 years if you go back to the Federal Reserve creation. It's a shame.

5. What do you mean?
Families claim them, I'm sure. In the recent incidents, people are disappearing from their jobs and being taken from their homes. They aren't drifters or runaways who have been disconnected for years.

17. Are you sure of that?
How many go unidentified? How many disappeared weeks or months ago, and have been given up for dead, to suddenly show up when nobody is looking for them?

How many were recent occupants of the soon-to-be-abandoned Abu Graihb?

Just wondering.

8. Does Halliburton's contract include crematories?
All the bodies since Bush shocked & awed the world..
Some came back to the US in middle-of-the-night secret rendevous, but what's happened to all the Iraqi bodies?

Has Bush killed more than Sadaam yet?

Bush is a sick man.

10. isn't that sad - I wondered the same thing - how morbid
to have two tragedies with body counts going on.

Katrina or Iraq.

13. Sorry, I meant the bodies in Baghdad
More and more people keep turning up dead every day. I imagine most of them get claimed by the families eventually but they still have to be stored and IDd before that can happen, and then they have to be buried. It must be overwhelming people.

Also, Sharia does not require caskets.

15. It's probably pretty dangerous even to bury the dead
I've read time and again of funerals being attacked, mourners becoming freshly slain victims. There's probably bodies stacked up like cord wood in the morgues, decomposing where they ly.
