1. What's entirely laughable about this whole situation
Is that even if Iran were allowed to develop a bomb unfettered by outside forces, it would be at least ten years before they actually had a working model.

Meanwhile, over in the former Soviet Union, desperate underpaid scientists and military folks have access to many, many old Soviet era nuclear devices. How long, if it hasn't happened already, before one of these people, desperate for cash, sells a few of these on the black market? That's what I would be more worried about.

But Bushco has to beat the drum for war again, and after we have invaded Iran illegally and immorally, once again we will stage a vain hunt for nukes, and won't find any.

5. Good observation
Under the scenario of buying a bomb from the former Soviet sources there may be consequences. Iran has a lot of cash, if I recall correctly there is missing material around the world. If Iran has a bomb or bombs by Bushco logic it would not be smart to invade them unless you are willing to take massive casualties. A nuclear war in the mid-east would be totally unpredictable and just a couple well placed tactical nukes would make a real mess.

Invasion under Bushco logic should be done before you have a bomb. Bush assures the world by his "all options on the table" talk if Iran does not have WMD they better develop the capacity. This time Bush may actually find a few unwanted WMD.

2. Oh no another "Showdown" with a PNAC agendized nation.
Imagine?!

Let the medias rush to war begin!

"Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new mania
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind fuck America."
