"Entitlement Programs".... Did you watch fascist Peter on the SPAN

this morning? His question was about "Entitlement Programs" and the little fascist repeated the term over and over and over and over....all through Washington Journal.

We HAVE to come up with a phrase to counter that bullshit phrase. Every time he said it, I wanted to scream. Actually, I wanted to do bodily harm to him.:grr:

Couldn't the DU THINK TANK come up with a phrase to counter that?

I've been wracking my brain all morning trying to think of a phrase, but now my brain hurts.:(

Here's the thesaurus results for "righteous" ( moralistic, goodness).....can we come up with something? After we do, we need to get it out to all the useless politicians so they can start repeating it over and over and over just like the repukes do with "entitlement programs."

1. Benefit Programs

One of the BENEFITS of being an American is (er...should be) that the proper allocation of our tax dollars BENEFITS each of us.

2. People pay for their "entitlement programs"

Social Security isnt an entitlement unless they consider the private insurance they have an entitlement. Thats what you ask them. They cant say one is an entitlement while saying the exact same thing isnt.

These people are anything but righteous.

3. It's the legal term

They are legal entitlements because we already paid for them or have laws that mandate them, like social security and veteran's benefits. I really don't know what can be done about it except to educate the public on the term.

4. Call them exactly what they are:

....'STEP UP' PROGRAMS, or 'BOOTSTRAP' PROGRAMS, or 'PERSONAL INITIATIVE' PROGRAMS OR TREATMENTS OR APPLICATIONS--anything that states they are temp help for people to learn to live better lives.

6. Call them 'GOVERNMENT WORKS!' PROGRAMS

7. I kinda like "National Insurance". That's the UK term.

With one big exception IIRC - it helps fund the National Health Service.

Peter wasn't _THAT_ bad. Someone did correct him about SS not being entitlement, as people paid into it...

9. Citizenship compensation

Almost EVERY citizen receives "some sort" of entitlement.. The roads we drive on, the water we drink, the electricity grid we use, the schools our kids attend..etc etc.

We PAY TAXES... apparently way more than we should, or why would they be so eager to refund all OUR money to the few rich folks at the top??


There are some basic things we are OWED for sending in all that money every day/week/month/year/decade..

Our constitution thought enough of citizens' rights to put it in writing.."The general welfare of the people"
