Sheesh ,I have an unconventional opinion on this..think ALL marriage (hetero and gay)is a bad idea. The state has no business dictating and granting privileges saying who can have a relationship with whom.Relationships can't be forced or sanctioned from church or state without social engineering rearing it's ugly head.Marriage has it's roots in bondage and slave hood as does "family".(original meaning of the ring is a fetter of ownership like the pierced ear of slaves in ancient egypt or rome)All people deserve equal rights and the respect of whatever CONSENTING adult relationship arrangements work for them.The state should get the fuck out.
