Is Rep. Feeney running hard or running scared?

Tom Feeney usually sounds calm, cool and collected.
His latest plea for money does not.
In a fundraising letter sent to tens of thousands of Republicans last week, the Republican member of Congress from Oviedo predicted doomsday scenarios if he is not re-elected.

Feeney wrote that the radical leftists would receive help from "the local media," which he predicted will report "conspiracy theories and complete lies."
Rotten media.
And it gets worse. If Democrats actually get elected, Feeney predicted the impeachment of President Bush, massive cuts in defense and homeland-security spending and a victory for al-Qaeda and the terrorists.
Rotten terrorist-loving Democrats.
Feeney sounds like he's not only running, but like he's running scared.
Feeney chief of staff Jason Roe conceded that Republican scandals in Washington have helped whip up the anti-Republican winds of change. So the Feeney campaign is not taking his re-election for granted.
