Where's Dean?
Any rumors, any rumblings anywhere... that Howard Dean might run again?? I tell you, we've got to get one of these Dems to stand up and help out Feingold. I'd love to see a Dean/Feingold ticket. Is Dean going to stay where he is or is there a chance? Anyone heard anything?

2. Well, he promised he wouldn't run again, so
if he did, he'd be dishonest.

4. Not in NH, that's for sure
Not in New Hampshire. He'd be tarred and feathered after the vote on the primary.

6. There are those of us in Iowa not to happy with him either!
Of course we're even more unhappy with our DNC Calendar Committee members (Roxanne Conlin and Jerry Crawford) and our DNC Rules Committee member (Lt. Governor/Iowa Democratic Party Chair Sally Pederson) who have either sat on their hands or supported other members AGAINST the long alliance that Iowa and New Hampshire had in the past.

My apologies to New Hampshire, not all Iowans are jackasses :kick:

(And I have a feeling that soon enough we'll be crying in our Vilsack '08 signs when New Hampshire leap-frogs over our caucus in order to retain their primary position.)

7. NH is going to fight this
NH actually has a statute instructing the Secretary of State to move up the date of the primary were something like this to occur. In fact, the author of that law has been something of a mentor to me in the legislature, so we have talked about this quite a bit lately.

Believe me, he is feeling vindicated these days!

Good luck protecting the caucus. Having worked the 2000 caucuses for Bill Bradley (Boone and Ames), I know folks in Iowa take their responsibilities seriously.

8. I've kept tabs on what New Hampshire has been doing
and wish Iowa would be as serious about this challenge as NH is.

Instead we've stabbed NH in the back and are pretending that NH will just go away and the other 48 states will not leap-frog Iowa in 2012.

So much fun to be delusional!

I would have worked with NH and protected NH and then defied the DNC along with NH come crunch time :hi:

5. he has promised not to run for president
but I don't discount that he could be a possible VP nominee especially if we need someone to rally the base.
