Comments on Feingold resolution from some Democrats
<snip>

"I haven't read it," demurred Barack Obama (Ill.).

"I just don't have enough information," protested Ben Nelson (Neb.).

"I really can't right now," John Kerry (Mass.) said as he hurried past a knot of reporters (Kerry's office has confirmed he will support)

"Ask her after lunch," offered Clinton's spokesman, Philippe Reines. But Clinton, with most of her colleagues, fled the lunch out a back door as if escaping a fire.

Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), known for his near-daily news conferences, made history by declaring, "I'm not going to comment." Would he have a comment later? "I dunno," the suddenly shy senator said.

"He brings up some very important issues," Debbie Stabenow (Mich.) ventured. Stabenow took another stab. "It needs to have hearings," she said.

Mary Landrieu (La.) pursed her lips. "Senator Feingold has a point that he wants to make," she said. "We have a point that we want to make, talking about the budget."

"I haven't made any judgment," said Jeff Bingaman (N.M.). Two minutes later, he reappeared. "I will support an alternative that would call for an investigation," he amended.

"Most of us feel at best it's premature," announced Sen. Christopher Dodd (Conn.). "I don't think anyone can say with any certainty at this juncture that what happened is illegal."

Sen. Tom Harkin (Iowa). "The president broke the law and he needs to be held accountable," he said. "Talk about high crimes and misdemeanors!" Harkin said he'll vote for the Feingold resolution -- if it comes up.

2. What a bunch of wimps. Good for Harkin.
The resolution will get other to contemplate removing * from office. Probably will not happen but more & more folks are seeing it as a real alternative.

7. What are these morons afraid of?
Bush is at 36%. Do they have to wait for him to get to 0 before they go after him? What the fuck is the matter with these people?

Don't answer that,

"I haven't read it," demurred Barack Obama (Ill.).

FOR SHAME! GROW A PAIR AND THEN DO SO!

"I just don't have enough information," protested Ben Nelson (Neb.).

GET IT!

"I really can't right now," John Kerry (Mass.) said as he hurried past a knot of reporters (Kerry's office has confirmed he will support)

THANKS, SENATOR KERRY!

"Ask her after lunch," offered Clinton's spokesman, Philippe Reines. But Clinton, with most of her colleagues, fled the lunch out a back door as if escaping a fire.

IF YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE THIS SMALL STAND, DON'T BOTHER TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT. ALL PROFILE AND NO COURAGE.

Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), known for his near-daily news conferences, made history by declaring, "I'm not going to comment." Would he have a comment later? "I dunno," the suddenly shy senator said.

COME BACK AFTER YOU'VE GROWN A PAIR!

"He brings up some very important issues," Debbie Stabenow (Mich.) ventured. Stabenow took another stab. "It needs to have hearings," she said.

AND?

Mary Landrieu (La.) pursed her lips. "Senator Feingold has a point that he wants to make," she said. "We have a point that we want to make, talking about the budget."

THE LAWS DON'T MATTER? THEN SAVE US SOME MONEY BY CLOSING DOWN THE SENATE.

"I haven't made any judgment," said Jeff Bingaman (N.M.). Two minutes later, he reappeared. "I will support an alternative that would call for an investigation," he amended.

YEAH. IT'S REALLY HARD TO FINGURE OUT, ISN'T IT.

"Most of us feel at best it's premature," announced Sen. Christopher Dodd (Conn.). "I don't think anyone can say with any certainty at this juncture that what happened is illegal."

SURE. I'VE GOT A BRIDGE FOR YOU IN NEW YORK.

Sen. Tom Harkin (Iowa). "The president broke the law and he needs to be held accountable," he said. "Talk about high crimes and misdemeanors!" Harkin said he'll vote for the Feingold resolution -- if it comes up.

THANK YOU, SENATOR HARKIN!

12. I have a suggestion
As a newbie, I'm unable to start a thread yest, but I think one way to increase the pressure is this.

Call Senator Frist's office. 202-224-3344

Ask this....

Hi. I'm calling to encourage Sen. Frist to force a vote on Senator Feingold's censure motion. I hope Sen Frist will force this vote using his scheduling powers so that Republicans and Democrats can show their support for the Bush wiretapping program.

Let's see what happens.

or does he support Breaking the laws of the United States of America?

16. Congressman Moran on Wash Journal
This morning essentially said he doesn't support it, either. He said it would be a distraction from the "important" issues Congress is facing. What's more important than a consitiutional crisis??

I'm beside myself, not only because they are rolling over and playing dead, but because IT WILL COST THEM VOTERS and we desperately need a majority in 2006.
