Tweety's Obsession with Repukes is tanking his ratings
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 04:01 PM by RamboLiberal
At least that's the way I'm reading it. Monday in the key demo 25-54 viewers he had 127,000. KO's Countdown had 233,000. I watch them on Mediabistro TVNewser and usually Tweety is near KO or even slightly ahead. That same night Dobbs had 199,000, Blitzer 186,000. Friday Tweety's reporting from the Repukes Koolaid Drinker's Convention he had 96,000, KO had 135,000, Dobbs had 154,000, and Blitzer 152,000.

I really hope this Repuke obsession is costing Tweety viewers - nothing speaks to these whores louder than $$$$$$$'s.

1. Words cannot tell you how bad I feel about that
Well, yes they can. Too friggin' bad tweety. If you had a truly fair and balanced show, maybe people would watch. 'Til then, adios.

2. Tweetie's formula
has always been yammer away at GOP talking points of the day, but try to appear non partisan. As of late he can't hide his gushing over all things GOP, Its been very blatant lately. The Bush loving higher ups are probabally giving him the green light to do as he wants. I am sure they are desperate to stop Bush/GOPs collective freefall.

4. With all the $$$ he's pulled down in speaker fees
see: http://thinkprogress.org/2006/03/15/matthews-speaking-fees/

He still supplements his income.

Tweety had a pole installed in his bedroom where he entertains Republican guests who stuff $$$ in his g-string, per moonbootica.

12. I'm talking about the ad dollars that go to MSNBC
not to Tweety personally. If his agenda costs ratings then they will tell him to tweak the agenda.

5. Matthews is an example of
what happens when people who work in "news" make millions and millions of dollars. Matthews lives lavisiouly, like a king, and whatever it takes to support the financial obligations that this life style requires is going to get done. Even if he had any principles to begin with, when it comes to keeping the gravy train coming, well, I guess a lot of people will say anything.

6. I'm just grateful
that I don't know who the f*** any of those people are. Except Blitzer - I think I'd recognize his face from the persian gulf war coverage way back when. But that's it.

8. I'd have eaten glass...
...before I watched his "Picking the Next President" (he's assuming it's going to be a Republican!) GOP love fest he aired last Friday.

Tweety is getting hysterical knowing that his Republican paymasters are tanking fast. He's been trying to tag Hillary with the socialist label for weeks now (he obviously doesn't understand socialism) and his spitting and foaming is getting worse by the day.

Tweety's goin' down with his GOP cronies, and I for one will enjoy the spectacle.

14. Notice he has more liberal guests tonight aside from Buchanan
Course I don't know how he will treat them. Wonder how he'll beat on Hillary's advisor? BTW, I believe he has John Edwards on Thursday.

From Hardball email:

Tonight on Hardball, we'll have an exclusive sneak peak of results of the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll at 5 pm Eastern and then more poll results at 7 pm Eastern. You don't want to miss either show to hear the latest measure of the public's thoughts on President Bush's job performance, the Iraq War, and much more. MSNBC Political Analyst and Hardblogger All-Star Pat Buchanan and Leon Panetta, former congressman and chief of staff to President Clinton, will be here to talk about the poll numbers, the midterm elections, and the ramp-up for the 2008 presidential race.

Also tonight, Howard Wolfson, an advisor to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), will join Chris to talk about the senator's plans for 2006 and beyond as well as the Democratic Party's chances to re-take the House and/or Senate in the 2006 elections.

Hardball Correspondent David Shuster will report on the latest in the Moussaoui case, in which a lead attorney has been accused of coaching witnesses, possibly jeopardizing the government's chances to pursue a death sentence for the so-called "20th" 9/11 hijacker.

Kate Michelman, former president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, and MSNBC Political Analyst Monica Crowley also will be here to discuss the political climate on Capitol Hill and down the hill at Pennsylvania Avenue.

Chris also will talk tonight with Eugene Jarecki, director of the film "Why We Fight," which examines the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and author Christopher Buckley, who wrote "Thank You for Smoking," which has just been turned into the first film by director Jason Reitman and is a hilarious look at lobbying.

10. How do I get on the "ranking' committee?
The only "news" show on msrnc worth a ziz is countdown. Hairball stinks; whazername from fux stinks; that idiot who occupies the same time slot as Jon S. stinks. Whyinhell they plastered hairball all across the range should cost that brave intellectual maggot his job.
Abrams---hmmm. Not my cuppa, but seems ok. Occasionally worth seeing.
If they gave Ronnie Raygun's intelligent son (the one with a brain) a show of his own, I'd watch it.

Wolfing blisters is not worth wasting electric on, like the rest of cnn, with the possible exception of Dobbs. 360 is only, for me, watchable if I'm desperate--not often--but still above the absolute zero to negative of wolfing.
