Catch the Colbert Report rerun at 8:30 p.m....It's a keeper
The Colbert Report keeps getting better and better. I was kind of dubious at first, as it seemed like a one joke schtick. But it's getting more expansive as it goes along.

Last night's show -- today's rerun -- had several classics. An interview with Keith Olberman. 'Nuff said.

Also a rant against those awful unions, and Colbert's wistful longing for the good old days of Child Labor and the Company Store. Funny as hell.....And, unfortunately, not very exagerated from the actual thought process of the hard core Freepers and the Corporte Titans and their apologists.

Also not to be missed was an afterthought with Kareem Abdul Jabar. Very esoteric and funny as hell.

(One of the things I like about the show is that it does get esoteric, nd oblique in its humor. Not enough of that these days. Comedy that makes you think to get it. Wotta concept.)

1. The funniest shit I have yet seen on the Colbert Repot
was his Word of the day on the UAE ports deal. "My head says Bush is right...but my gut says Bush is wrong! He can't be right and wrong at the same time...or can he? Oh splendor! It all coheres!"

You gotta actually see it...I was dyin'.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

9. that whole head/gut thing was so dead-on accurate for the port deal
that's EXACTLY why it's such a political screw up for shrub.

he's so consistenly a "gut" thinker at the expense of "head" thinking that when he does the reverse, it's a disaster.

6. yep...it's the only reason I have cable anymore
have been trying to eliminate it, but those two shows (mostly Colbert lately, DS is slipping badly IMO) are about all that's on cable worth watching

everything else is insulting dreck, or anger inducing M$M 'news'

13. I Think The Show Sucks and Last Night Was One Of The Worst
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 07:00 PM by ThomWV
Really, I'm not kidding a bit. The guy is about as funny as a fart in church and he badgers guests non-stop with his mindless bullshit.
