Remember The Nixon Poster - Would You Buy A Used Car?
I have no Photoshop ability anymore or I'd do it myself, but does anyone recall that old Poster of Richard Nixon in a suit looking quite somber and the caption "Would you buy a used car from this man?"

1. I vaguely remember. I could try to do you a poster. I work with
Photoshop Elements -- a simplier version of Photoshop.

I have a Yahoo group, URL in my Sig Line -- You can upload the photo(s) in the FILES section on the left and Post a message with what you want the text to say and the style and color.

I could download the photo, work with it and post it in 8x11 printable size on my Yahoo group.

If you don't want to sign up with photoshop, leave a link with your photo and what you want the text to say in my DU mailbox.

Peace.

2. Vaguely remember,
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 07:34 PM by MuseRider
there were so many good posters back then and times being what they were I can kind of remember, I think, you know, maaaaaaan. :hippie:

I hope someone answers your call who can do it because there are quite a few out there that would look great on a poster like that.

Edit because I am in a hurry and can't spell a thing

3. There is an old National Lampooon book
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 07:38 PM by acmejack
that had a cover adorned with artwork you'd find very suitable, I think. It was "Would you buy a used war from this man?" I'll look for it. I have the book somewhere.

11. That came after the original used car poster,
which I think came out in 1967 or 68.

9. There was a Nixon poster
with his face that said, simply: "Now, More Than Ever!"

My friends and I would get our best black markers, go through rituals of preparation for monkey warfare, and go about writing: "...Don't Even Vote For Nixon!" on them. We were young, and hopefully we will find forgiveness in the afterlife.

10. Yes. He had a dark 5-o-clock shadow
He looked totally sleazy in the picture, unshaven and grimacing.

15. OMG, I nearly spit out my Cheerios!
What a horrible sight first thing in the morning.I had mercifully forgotten that one.

Do you remember the poster with the extremely pregnant woman saying "Nixon's the One"?

17. I do remember!
I haven't found a picture yet, but I absolutely remember that. IIRC, it was a Nixon campaign slogan that was used against him.
