And Where Is Poppy Bush As Young Son Dies On The Vine? |
|
One might expect that in Bush's time of need his father might step up and become his immediate political adviser . . . but it doesn't seem to have happened. Now considering that parents line up behind baby rapers and train robbers in courtrooms every day one might expect poppy to show a little bit of concern for his most wayward of children. Just how deep is the split within that loving family?

Of course, every time those old coots open their mouths, they insert their pampered feet, so that might have something to do with it.

Poppy tends to be more publicly involved with Clinton. Hmmmm, maybe this is a statement about who Poppy really does admire.

If you missed it, there's a "task force" being formed in Washington headed by James Baker to "reconsider" Iraq policy. A couple of Congressmen are giving the thing cover.
Between the lines, it's Poppy sending in James Baker in to convince Dubya and Cheney to cut their losses and bail out of Iraq sooner rather than later. It's about trying to prevent the disaster that lies a couple of months away from taking down the GOP.

7. Bush Sr was, whether you liked him or not, a competent statesman, |

His son is not competent. What can he say? The answer, he can't say anything.
