# Russ Feingold’s lonely call for Censure
“Asked at a press conference whether he would vote for the censure resolution, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada declined to endorse it and said he hadn‘t read it.”
Yah shure, ya betcha ! Once again we see true Democratic colors – Yellow.
We must sooner not later, find effective ways to stand up and speak out. Not being able to win, is never justification for not doing or saying what is right. And that has been repeatedly and conspicuously missing from the left side of the fence. Standards must be set, even if they will be violated or ignored.
Sooner or later charges must be laid, and those who cover-up and protect an Administration that flaunts it’s disrespect for The Law, Gutting our Precious Rights, must be exposed for what they are.
Hiding behind popularity polls, is what has brought us into the indefensible disaster we now face. The Opposition Party en masse, continuing to tolerate and thereby suppress the more than abundant evidence of illegal malfeasance is not “leadership,” it is political cowardice.
As I understand it, the Finegold Resolution is not for “Impeachment”—it’s for “Censure,” a mere warning, a slap on the wrist. Censure or Impeachment both simply bring charges to the table, charges for debate and discussion, raising the question to visible national level—and the charges of breaking the law are there.
Postponing today’s battle, over today’s issue, for discussion later; is where we’ve failed so many times before. What if anything is Democratic National “Leadership” thinking, when they muzzle our party from calling it as it is? If that is part of some secret strategic plan, can we trust that it will work? If it is not, then who are they working for?
It’s one more Canary in the Mine for me. If not now, when?—WHEN will it be time to speak up? I’ve been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for 6 long years. Today, Feingold gets my thanks and my vote; (and once more, I’ll bite my lip regarding everyone else.)

# YOU SHOULD BE AT THE VERY LEAST SUPPORTING CENSURE, I BELIEVE IMPEACHMENT IS IN ORDER FOR DESTROYING THE CONSTITION & BILL OF RIGHTS & TREASON FOR DOING IT IN WAR TIME. IF WE GIVE UP EVEN ONE OF OUR RIGHTS WE HAVE LOST THE ILLEGAL WAR. DONT FORGET BY THE PEOPLE & FOR THE PEOPLE. xxxx xxxxxxxxxx NIAGARA WISC.

# “Give’em hell”? Where is your support for Sen. Russ Feingold? Censure is the least of what should happen to the Bush administration. You need to be out in front. Letting Bill Frist get away with accusing Sen. Feingold of politics- nonsense. What they did to Pres. Clinton was political garbage. What this administration is doing is fascist and must be stopped. Voting doesn’t work when voting machines are fixed and ballots “lost” and registered voters are prevented from casting their ballots.
Sen. Reid- either speak up in strong support of Sen. Feingold or get “out of the kitchen.”
