Will Texas forgive the Dixie Chicks? Husband-and-wife radio personalities Gene and Julie Gates ask that very question of listeners today during their show from 5 to 10 a.m. on KVIL-FM (103.7). At stake is whether the station should play the Chicks' new single, "Not Ready to Make Nice." Listeners can hear the song, offer comments and vote on www.1037litefm.com. Gene and Julie will announce the results at 8 a.m. Thursday.

and when I first heard it I couldn't believe that was what all the fuss was about.

It was over their exercising their right to free speech. You know, that freedom that the soldiers fight for, but that you're not supposed to actually use.

I can't find the poll, and I'd like to hear the song. I think they should play the song, but "Texas" has no reason to forgive the Chicks, because they didn't do anything wrong.
