The "average" Republican never imagined Bush could run up so much debt..
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 12:28 AM by kentuck
..in such a short time. His "Armageddon" economics has America on her knees. No, you are not the only person that believes America is running on borrowed time....and Chinese dollars. How could anyone run our country into debt by $3 trillion dollars in just 5 short years? To put it into perspective, every president from George Washington thru Jimmy Carter, never ran up $1 trillion dollars in debt. George W Bush and the Republicans have run up 3 times as much debt in 5 short years as all those other presidents in over 200 years! If you think our economy is doing great, you are frigging stupid! Wanna buy a bridge? A toll road? A port?

3. The average republican is a stupid, gullible SOB.
He believes every line the republicans spew, even as they pick his pocket.

5. Well they should have seen it coming or at least sensed the likelihood

A) Warhawks spend money like drunken warhawks, and Bush's coterie is full of them. They like to slap down the national credit card the way nuns like slapping metal edged rulers down on little pink palms--hard and often.
B) Tax maniacs never met a tax they didn't think should be lower on rich people. In fact for years they've been speaking openly of bankrupting the government in order to dismantle its authority and discredit it so it can never be used "that way" again.

Look at A. Look at B. Lots of money going out of the budget for killing toys and super fun invasions around the globe-and at the same time a near moratorium on money coming in.
What the fuck did they expect to happen?

6. That is only because the average republican has very dark glasses
on and they can't see 4 feet in front of their face.

BTW - he did not run up a debt - he GAVE our national wealth to the already rich. He GAVE it to them.

Running up a debt sort of implies that you have at least bought something with your money - therefor you have gotten something out of the deal.

9. Through 211 years
of the Civil war, Korean War, WW I, WW II, Great Depression, Viet Nam War, Persian Gulf War, McVey bombing, Trade Center bombing, Hurricane Andrew, just to name a few "911's. And all those presidents combined only ran up a total dollar figure of half the debt this Texas dildo has put us in just during the time he's been in office.

If China ever wants to annex Taiwan, all they have to do is walk in and take it. We sure aren't going to be able to come to their aid. China will say fine, just pay us the 250 billion you owe us right now. We're calling in the total loan.

10. You can't call in treasury bonds
They have set maturity dates. You could sell them on the open market to another investor though.
