Prattle On, Mr. Bush, But What Comes After That?
With his popularity swirling down the drain, and Americans now firmly against the war, the WH is sending bushyboy out to make a series of speeches about Iraq and the threat of "Islamofascism".
He's talking about all the progress in Iraq, the need for pre-emptive war and the evildoers who will try to establish a (gasp) worldwide Caliphate.

This can't possibly work. Karl Rove has to know it can't work.. They don't actually believe that this is an effective tactic. This won't turn anything around for bushco.

What are they going to do next?

And this is where I get paranoid. I am not suceptible to conspiracy fever. Generally, I'm pretty snide and dismissive of the tin foilers. But I can't help thinking that these people are so corrupt, so convinced that they're on the side of God, that they'll do unspeakable things to regain the support of the American people, and thus the ability to keep shoving their sinister agenda down our unwilling throats.

I don't want to speculate on what they might do. I'll leave that to others. For me, it's depressing enough that I believe they'll do it- whatever "it" is.

1. He'll say the same old things over and over again.
People aren't stupid. They'll recognize it for what it is. He may be the first president to bottom out in the teens.

2. Religious fanatics
Reminds me of the Jim Jones Guyana group. They were so convinced that what they were doing was right, they all gave their lives for it. And they were all wrong.

I wonder if there are more similarities between that group the the Bush coven of today.

The things that they do that I question are pretty basic. The Bible, the guide they supposedly live by, says thou shalt not kill, you're supposed to help those less fortunate, you aren't supposed to judge or condemn others, you're supposed to treat others as you would like to be treated, etc., and they don't do those things. These are not options in The Bible. They are mandatory. And they don't follow them, which I question.

The Bible also warned about a wolf in sheep's clothing. I think that bears some consideration as well.

Moral: Question what you are told, think for yourself, and don't drink the punch! :tinfoilhat:
