"We're living in a dangerous world."
I keep hearing this from the warmongering faction and their supporters. What space of fear do these people occupy that everywhere they look they see others as enemies or threats? Where does this mentality come from? When you meet someone, is your first thought that they are an enemy? Am I being naive?

3. That mentality . . .
. . . comes in large part from listenening to 18 years of Rush Limpballs.

These people never learned to think for themselves, so hate radio programmed them. Literally programmed them.

Collectively if not individually.

6. Yes. But it is a mentality they share with our enemies around the globe
Not all threats begin and end in the Bush Administration, and there are plenty of people who have grievences, even hatreds against the united States. In many cases they have good reason to hate us.

7. another 'duh' moment.
it's why we have law enforcement.

but these lunatics want armed volence sanctioned and spread by our military to satisfy their ''bread{blood} and circus} mentality.

there are with out a doubt millions of americans who get off{literally} on watching americans ''exercise'' their military ''might''.

8. I agree with that
birth control is being cut off to low-income women and safe abortion availability is being greatly limited and might well be gone soon. That is dangerous indeed.

9. It's ALWAYS Been A Dangerous World
There was no time was everyone was comfy, cozy and safe. Since we started walking upright, somebody would fight you over land, a waterhole, food, something.

Since we started drawing lines on a map, those lines became the source of conflict and war.

And, finally, bin Laden issued his fatwa in which he declared war on the United States in 1993. And just now they've caught up?!?

10. What baffles me
Is that a lot the people who supposedly follow this all powerful supernatural being (Jesus, God, Holy Spirit) are the same ones who are seemingly afraid of everything. Including apparently their own deities well being. It speaks volumes of the actual level of their belief and faith. If I were being watched over and loved by the author of all creation and believed that he had a plan for me I don't think too much would get me down.

12. Yeah, Because What Are You Going To Do About It?
The other thing that frosts me is the idea that they have to change you or me or their god will be angry with them. What the heck kind of misplaced ego does their god have? The omnipotent, omniscient god requires puny humans to do things when the outcome is already known? That's just stupid. So, these people hate their own god. It's the only explanation as to why they think so little of their deity.

13. Well said Professor
I never thought of it that way. They turn the Deity hatred into self loathing becaue we are, after all, created in "His" image. Man is occasionally a cruel and wicked animal because our maker is a cruel and vengeful God. At least the God these people seem to want to wroship.
